Privacy Policy

ℹ️ Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains clearly what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

1. Introduction

Vanquish Inc. ("Vanquish," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AllergyGuardAI mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information about you when you use our Service.

By using AllergyGuardAI, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.

This policy applies to all users of the AllergyGuardAI App, including users of the free tier and paid subscription plans.

This data is used solely to provide personalized allergen analysis within the Service.

5.1 Storage Location

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data in the United States.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

5.3 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within thirty (30) days, except where retention is required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access and Correction

You may access and update your personal information at any time through the Settings section of the app. You may also contact us at support@allergyguardai.app to request access to or correction of your personal data.

6.2 Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data through the Settings section of the app. Upon confirmation, your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within thirty (30) days.

6.3 Notification Preferences

You may manage push notification preferences through your device's notification settings or through the Settings section of the app.

6.4 Location Data

Location access is optional. You may deny or revoke location permissions through your device settings at any time. Denying location access will disable the GPS restaurant detection feature but will not affect other features of the Service.

6.5 Camera and Photo Library

Camera and photo library access is requested only when you use the menu photo scanning feature. You may deny these permissions through your device settings, though doing so will disable photo-based menu scanning.

7. Children's Privacy

AllergyGuardAI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The app is designed to be used by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. Allergy profile data entered for children is associated with the parent or guardian's account.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately at support@allergyguardai.app and we will take steps to delete such information.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

9. International Users and GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent legislation, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data includes: (a) performance of our contract with you to provide the Service; (b) your consent where required; and (c) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the app and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
